It has been a privilege and an honor to work with the awesome staff of Mariam Boyd Elementary and Warren County School employees. Leadership is only evident when put into action. This year long internship has allowed me to do just that. All the potential I have for leadership has been transformed into kinetic energy here at Mariam Boyd. My role as a Principal Fellow here has allowed me to make an impact on numerous areas of the school. This would include but is not limited to:

• Assume the duties of assistant principal, including conducting teacher observations and evaluations, designing professional development, and working with students, teachers and parents to promote academic achievement.
• Implementing Target Teach (proposed by dpi school turn around coach) as a means of building the basic skills of students in math and reading so that they can be successful in grade level content.
• Strategically increase parental and community engagement in the school through outreach programs and inclusion planning.
